A prediction I can make from this quote is that Amir will become a writer as the
novel continues. Rahim Khan writes Amir a letter saying that he has been born with a
God-given talent that should not be put to waste. I predict that Amir will listen to
Rahim’s wise words and write more of his own stories to publish one day. Hassan also
tells Amir that the story he wrote was one of the best stories he had heard in a very long
time. Therefore, due to Rahim’s encouragement and Hassan’s supportive commentary, I
believe that Amir will become a writer as the novel progresses.
